About
Diederik Schiebergen (b. 1966, Rotterdam) is a photographer and graphic designer based in Heiloo (between Alkmaar and Amsterdam). His experience in fashion photography can be seen in his contemporary work; stylish commercial/advertising photography and documentary photography, in which the beauty of the everyday is immortalized.
During his training at the Royal Academy of Visual Arts (KABK), Diederik learned the basic techniques of the trade, and above all learned to develop himself as an artist with his own vision. During his years at the Academy, he discovered the world of fashion photography and often made cinematically styled portraits. He further delved into the profession by apprenticing himself to great fashion photographers such as Carli Hermes and Bart van Leeuwen. Both his personal and commercial work, such as advertising photography, is characterized by the timelessness of the images and the visible love that Diederik has for his subjects.
Diederik Schiebergen is a commercial and portrait photographer and sees himself primarily as a people photographer. His work has appeared in, among others, the Volkskrant, Trouw, Telegraaf, Viva, Cosmopolitan, and the New York Times.

BOOKS
This uniquely designed book showcases 20 double portraits of living kidney donation in a compelling way, depicting the emotions, motivations, and experiences of kidney recipients and the living donors who have generously given their kidneys. The relationships between the recipients and donors are highly diverse, ranging from a grandmother with her grandchild, to partners, colleagues, and an altruistic donor.
