20 DOUBLE PORTRAITS OF LIVING KIDNEY DONATION

This uniquely designed book of 20 double portraits of living kidney donation powerfully shows the feelings, motivations and experiences of kidney recipients and the living donors who have donated their kidneys. The relationships between the recipient and the donor are very diverse: from a grandmother with a grandchild, to partners, colleagues and an altruistic donor.

Jacintha Jenniskens, a social worker at the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam, and Diederik Schiebergen took the initiative to bring together twenty stories of kidney recipients and their donors. The beautiful portrait photography by Diederik Schiebergen supports the interviews. The book is compiled and published by Nico de Bruijn in collaboration with the Kidney Foundation.

The book is extra interesting for kidney patients and (future) donors who are faced with the complex and personal considerations surrounding living donation.

TURKISH AND ARABIC IN DOUBLE PORTRAIT BOOK
The small version of the double portrait book also has two new editions: a version with a double portrait in Turkish and a version with a double portrait in Arabic. Both versions also contain the other double portraits and a translation of the accompanying interviews.
